Having our Mount Kinabalu climbing trip prepared, we had to catch the first flight to Kuala Lumpur that require us to arrive at the airport early morning. After checking-in at Soekarno Hatta International Airport (SHIA), we took a breakfast at AW Restaurant, proceed to the immigration counter and then to the waiting room. The next two hours was on a pleasant flight, good weather and clear blue sky.
On arrival in Low-Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) Kuala Lumpur, we have to go through long queues at the Malaysian Immigration. We then proceed to check in for the next flight to Kota Kinabalu (KK). After checking in, we went to Mc Donald for a quick brunch with breakfast menus that most of us have never seen before. Then we took a bas pesiaran (tourist bus) to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). This is a regular bus from LCCT - KLIA that passes Sepang Circuit. That particular day was quite special as it is one day before the F1 grand prix in the Malaysian famous circuit.
The only good picture we can take in a Rush
When we arrive in KLIA some 30 minutes later, I realize that I had just underestimate the distance between the two terminals. We have 45 minutes left before our flight in LCCT departs for Kota Kinabalu. So we took some pictures on the upper level of the terminal building and rush to get a bus LCCT. But we're not lucky enough, there was no bus parked and we run again to the taxi counter. We finally hire a fan to bring us back to LCCT as soon as possible. Lucky for us, we made it. We enter the plane just before the its closed. Yes, we fly to Kota Kinabalu!
